Identification Applet (ID)

The identification applet (ID) is designed and produced for identification and stores and manages the identity information of the card owner, including ID information, face image, and such information. This applet inserts the information in a categorized manner in a file structure and provides high flexibility to define different access conditions for various information items. In this applet, it is possible to control access to information in the following ways:
- Based on personal identification number (PIN)
- Based on digital certificate
– Based on challenge authentication
– Reaction based on cryptography

The Sepid ID application is an applet designed and produced for identification and stores and manages the identity information of the card owner, including ID information, face image, and such information. Technical specifications of ID identification applet

  • Technology: Java applet
  • Platform:
    • JCDK 2.1.2 and higher
    • Global Platform 2.1.1 and higher
  • Memory size required for loading and installation: 8 KB
  • The amount of memory required to load data: at least 25 KB. The maximum memory required depends on the customer's needs and the amount of optional data coverage.
  • Minimum (important/higher) card requirements:
    • Support for RSA asymmetric encryption algorithm up to 2048 bits long
    • Support for RSA key pair generation mechanism on the card
    • Support for AES encryption algorithm with 128-bit key length
    • Support for 3-DES encryption algorithm
    • Support SHA-256 hashing function
